1.
It’s in my head; all the times that I kept you from running around. Although some things will never change, I wish I could. I wouldn’t think too much. It’s in my head; all the times seasons changed, and I’m still in my bed. Spent all these days in the wrong ways. Oh, I shouldn’t think of you anymore. It’s in my head; all the times I avoided mistakes to avoid the regret. Will I ever let them go; the words I never wrote? I’m as terrified as you were back then. I’m still stuck in the past; you’re still stuck in my head. Maybe I can be couragously afraid. Should I run? No. So, when will I learn everything can not be perfect? Still, I’ll try. And what if I never figure out the ways to not let us both down? Should I run? No.

Who Knows? 04:55
Don’t you see? We’re dancing with the devil in the yard. With six feet beneath the lightest feet, Oh, this time could last forever. Don’t you see? We’re drowning with the strangers in the Waiting Room. Just nevermind what’s on your mind, or mine. And I will untie one sigh to ask, “why?” I wonder what you’re laughing for. I’m worried I worry. Let’s forget about the lies in your eyes. I’m trying to try, and you’re trying not to die. Hope this time won’t last forever. Don’t you see? We’re counting 1200 steps to the waiting room. I’m hoping that this is the worst that it gets. Am I terrified to find out alone? Will your shadow divide, and fall below? Overthrown by the light, will it hide by my side? Tongue-tied, you reply, “I wonder if we’ll ever know.” It’s just like every time you tell yourself, “It’s gonna be fine.” No one’s good at goodbye. Who’s gonna give you love when I die? Nevermind the lies, all the times I wasted your time. Nevermind the goodbyes, nevermind the times I tried to try. And try not to die before I find out why. I wonder which will happen first.

Ringside 02:46
I know I’m not the one that you hoped for, To kick open your door / steal you into the night. These hands were always empty. These sleeves were once full of bright, and shiny things you love. I’m no good at these jokes, and you’re too pretty to not be laughing. Do you mind that I still wait by the ringside? I was tangled in the branches. Saw you treading in the water. You never asked to be held down, You only asked to be held when your bed felt a little too cold. I don’t mind your mistakes, I hope you don’t mind my excuses. Do you mind that I still wait? I know I’m not the one you wished for. I always slip between the ropes. Love; it distracts me, it destroys me. Still, I wait by the ringside.

Filled it up with words that were never told. All I do is laugh this off, like it’s just a joke. But I was just too scared, and you were a little too brave. So we’ll smile like it makes it easier. Despite how bad this may be sounding, I’m a pro at holding back. All my friends agree this is getting old. All we do is laugh this off, like it’s just a joke. But you were just too scared, and I was a little too brave. So we’ll smile like it makes it easier. Oh, I’m so tired of pretending this was my fault. It's not my fault.

One day you’ll find it easy to leave, And one day the door will be hard to close. If life’s too short, my laces are tied. Tomorrow is a better day to die. If I don’t mind, I’ll never find my way back home. If I don’t climb, I’ll never know what I could know. You’re right, I’ll finish what’s started. You’re right, it’s me that I’m running from. It’s in my head, it’s in my head. You’re right, I’ll finish what’s started. You’re right, it’s me that I’m running from. It’s in my head, it’s in my head. One day you’ll find it easy to leave, And one day the door will be hard to close. It life’s too short, my laces are tied. Tomorrow is still a better day to die.
